The Hearing Aid Brands We Trust
Choosing a hearing aid brand can feel overwhelming when there are so many options on the market. Below is a breakdown of the brands we work with and what each one is known for, so you can walk into your appointment with a clearer picture of what might suit you.
Your audiologist at Family Hearing Centre will guide you to the right fit based on your hearing loss and lifestyle.
Oticon is a Danish brand built around a brain-first approach to hearing, with their devices designed to support how the brain naturally processes sound rather than simply amplifying it. Their open sound technology is widely respected and makes them a strong choice for people with active, varied listening needs.
Phonak is one of the world's most widely fitted hearing aid brands, and for good reason — their technology is consistently strong across all levels, from entry-level to premium. They are particularly well known for their Roger wireless microphone systems, which are popular in noisy environments and classrooms.
Signia is a German brand known for innovative technology, including their Own Voice Processing feature that addresses the common complaint of hearing your own voice differently with hearing aids. They offer a wide range of styles from discreet in-canal options through to powerful behind-the-ear devices.
Starkey is an American brand and the only major hearing aid manufacturer headquartered in the United States. They are known for their custom in-ear solutions and pushing the boundaries of hearing aid technology, including features like built-in fall detection, activity tracking, and voice assistant integration.
Unitron is a Canadian brand that puts a strong focus on the wearer's experience, offering devices that connect well to Bluetooth devices and adapt intelligently to different listening environments throughout the day. They are a practical, reliable choice across a range of hearing loss levels and budgets.
